Solitude is waning Choosing to be the one betrothed Amongst the ashes Remains of a slaughtered soul And I suffocate on the hazardous secretions Of all longing and desire Lay awake, alone and petrified Crippled by our own misdeeds We are the few, the remnants Honored, honest and betrayed By our souls, our minds, with no context Infect thoughts, liberation is impervious To all manner of exertion Pulled under by the burden The landscape of hope is desolate Who will educate this matter of existence? And force awake from the stronghold of lethargy and complacency? Discard the platitudes, and grasp this concept Survival requires more than simply being Tear the mind from the clouds And the body from the mud Tear soul away from the barrier And the body from the mind Drawn asunder through murky waters No lighthouse to radiate So flick this wet match, set your ocean aflame Was there ever a choice to begin with? Was it not written in our blood? Each moment dawning towards our New Age Like a burning wick, the end is inexorable
