Heaven

I can't wait to get to Heaven just to see your face Thank GOD for HIS love and eternal grace Look at outer space from the celestial balconies Laughter and hugs shared among long lost families I can hardly wait to fall at the feet of my FATHER Cuz even if I was a bother HIS LOVE was freely offered I want to ask why but at the same time I realize I've known why all of this time I can't wait to see my son, don't know what to expect All I know is that the wait to get there is one I won't regret I say I can't wait but it's a constant debate In my mind, deep down inside, can you relate? Wanna go with clean slate but always feel guilty Want to leave a legacy of positivity thru the filthy Built these walls then tore them down Made so many people smile But also so many frown Let so many down, lifted so many up Gave whoever needed it the last of my cut But thru all this what have I accomplished? Have I left the world astonished? Is evil admonished? I was sent to earth to navigate the politics Help pave the way for the populace so we can put a stop to this...nonsense I can say I can't wait I can say I can wait But regardless I'm not in full control of my fate Here on earth I see HEAVEN every day From the birth of a child to the way the grass sways The way roses grow out of concrete Seeing my people rise up when they face defeat I see HEAVEN in the struggle, HEAVEN in the fight I guess the point of it all is to realize HIS MIGHT Some nights I sit awake and stare at the stars Wishing that I was up there where you are Til then I'll enjoy this HEAVEN till my end Leaving this place a little better as I ascend Can't wait to see your face I'm gonna hug you tight you can get away We're gonna laugh and cry, and at the same time, this is why I look forward and never hit rewind...
