No, twice Once when I was a little child and once when I was all grown I wanted to be a musician I'd be travelling the world, touring, have many fans and change the world through my music I would close my eyes and see the crowds, the colors, hear the sounds... And then I grew up And I saw where I lived Looked at my face and the color of my skin And the money that wasn't there And the courage that just wasn't there... So I let her go The hope I once clutched so tightly was replaced By the hope that she will never come back Cast into the waves of the sea while I set foot on the everyday street
