Seems every day gets shorter I miss when we wished that we were older And I swear, I got could look at your eyes all night You could hold me tell me everything's alright I can't believe that we're here, I can't think when you're not near And I don't know what's next Just promise you'll shoot me a text And you shine like the moon I don't wanna leave so soon And I wish I could stay For at least one more day And I hope that you know you're the reason I grow You're the reason I'm ok I wish I could stay I couldn't find my way without you You were my light so I could get through Your energy changed my perspective So I became retrospective And I looked back in shame I couldn't believe who I was before you came And I'm glad to tell you the truth That you stuck with me to help me show proof That my personal growth was possible I'm auspicious that my results were unstoppable Covid-19 freed my mind It gave me time to heal and to find Who I really am, who I want to be I still don't know but I'm on the path to possibly And honestly I'm sick of all the hostility We're all learning so be kind will you please And you shine like the moon I don't want to leave so soon And I wish I could stay For at least one more day And I hope that you know You're the reason I grow You're the reason I'm ok I wish I could stay
