Talking to a Ghost

Tell me that its over and you and I will walk our separate ways Some condescending story where youll just leave me puzzled in a daze And Im just sick of waiting I swear I've cried for some days And Im to the point where Im numb and completely unphased So now Im talking to a ghost and I dont even know her name And I just take to drinking cuz I know that she may never be the same So Ill hold the pain like an anchor and Ill take the blame Oh anything I can do to maybe just make her stay The cold it replaces the place where her hands use to lie And loves the only thing that can grow in the same place it died So I hold on through the night In hopes that the feelings are still burning bright So now Im talking to a ghost and I dont even know her name And I just take to drinking cuz I know that she may never be the same So Ill hold the pain like an anchor and Ill take the blame Oh anything I can do to maybe just make her stay I just need to hear your voice as it echos in the pines While Im studying the Bible and reading through every single line And I wont stop this search until youre mine
