THE KIDS LEFT When the kids left they said they had to work In London, in the States, In Poland or in Spain So they left, and sometimes they're not so far away, they say But we all know they're gone, we all know they left home Though we can still hear them playing in their overheated room So the kids left, and maybe they will forgive us for all our little secrets All the things that we kept away from them Now they left, they are sometimes back with us for Christmas Then they sit at our table and smile when you ask if all is fine Things have changed so much, Don't ask me how Now our kids have their own secrets to hide Though we can still hear them playing in their overheated room
