DARKER PLACES A whispered call from the trees And she moved closer to heed A feeble voice from the fog Inviting her to come forth She left the village behind Walking in darkness through thorns and slime She brought a gift as a pledge And walked alone to the forest edge She moved to a darker place Held tight in a darker embrace She's flying to a darker land Holding a new guiding hand
