There's a light shining bright on a hill First it walks, then it talks, then it's still There's an old silver stone in the creek Farther flung, softer sung, than the deep There's a smile on a face blurred in time Well if these days can't last Can I bottle them up, pour a cup, of the past And if these days can't stay Can I gather them up, hear their song, tell them thanks And if these days can't last Then I guess that I'm gone, move along, don't look back And if these days are gone Then I'll in lie the grass, setting fast, with the sun
