Is there even a right way To feel love and not reciprocate? I think about it every night and day To the point that I can't think straight I don't know, don't think I ever will Though I try to move on I still find myself at a stand still You don't choose the ones you love Or at what point that it hits you But in the end, it's not enough To prevent me from falling through It was never the right time Like a deer caught in the headlights It was never the right song By a measure or a half tone When they turn down all the sound bites And they turn up all the house lights Will they find the remnants of A great love or a missed chance? Whether a loose end or a missed connection It starts with a spark and is laced with good intentions With a little time and distance, it slowly fades away I don't know how I got this way If I could, I would change, yeah I would change I guess there isn't a right way To feel love without reciprocating
