Thanksgiving, 2020

The clouds are moving in different directions like the crowds they're hovering over And they're swaying with the wind towards the land unknown The bands are all playing mismatched parts but the audience doesn't seem to care They just dance in their drunken bliss and dance their way out of Eden The siren blazes in the night city streets How many lost souls are awake to hear it? And they turn back towards the darkness to find themselves a piece of comfort The sunrise gleams over the horizon again for centuries and centuries more And another day ends just like the last And another day is in the past I've climb a thousand mountains in search for the truth But all I've found is blisters and bruises I've crossed a thousand rivers to find an excuse To explain all the things I couldn't do
