Speechless for Now

Once again, a seed of turmoil had been sown I let humanity's condition grow on me as people told me day and night about the evil they'd been shown To summon my vigilance so I could give 'em what they asked for I'd hear no evil other than your voices in my head I'd see no evil other than your goals met by my hands I was speechless like I was trying to make an action louder than words My eyes would drift away, I hope I find the answer Twists of truth for Changes in heart for rules of foul play manipulating all that's said and done Now I understand how we made the world unsafe A choice would put it there A choice will make it gone If I close my eyes and slash at sin, I won't survive my wish I'm speechless one more time, until I get it right Lust for life, the price to pay, the damage done for peace along the way
