It's as pretty as a dream A landscape so green and enticing Look up to the sky It's clear Collecting from the breeze A gifted hand with pollen filled brushes Creating beauty A world only for me A dream Where can I run to When the only place I want to be is here? Awaking to the breeze Leaves flowing down brown and autumnal Seasons come and go They've gone Falling from the sky Not what I expected to find there Rain beats it's fury down The sun just fiercely growls At me Where can I run to When the only place I can go is here? The birds once sang to me Now they promise never to come back There's nothing for them here Or for me I wait expectantly To see the leaves bud as they once promised But autumn's vengeance turned Into winter's eternal Victory Where can I run to When the only place I can exist is here?
