Coffee & Crosswords

Well I floss my teeth almost every single day So that I don't have to lie when they ask Got a yearly membership to the art museum And I read every sign that we pass I drink my coffee with half and half Tired of pretending that I like it black I'm kinda over all of that I'm getting older and I know what I want I don't mind the quiet and I love when it comes I don't have a thing to say, it's okay mmm I got the radio low all that's left is a hum Just like my dad's Ford used to sound Got a crossword puzzle from the New York Times Maybe someday I could fill it all out I call my family a little more I can't believe it used to be a chore You never know what life could have in store I'm getting older and I know what I've got I've been learning who I am and who I'm not I don't want a time machine, I've got all I need I've been playing my songs almost every day Lately it's been just to my dog Got a lot of big dreams inside my head It's a mess, but I'm checking 'em off I don't have a record on the wall But I'll keep writing til I write em all Am I happy? Am I missing something? I'm getting older and you know what, it's both I don't got it all, but don't need a thing I'm getting older and I know what I want
