3 A.M. (Sail Away)

I see the Stars tonight And they are Shining bright I hear the whispers in the night What is wrong and what is right For what is life Why it takes so much And gives so little It falls apart It is so very brittle And I hate how melodramatic this lines sound I would like to say else I would like to be profound I guess This 3 A.M. thoughts really mess with my mind. They leave me So cold and apathetic and unkind I want to love but my heart is numb I want to smile But to sadness I succumb I want to believe but my thoughts are bleak I want to care but my faith is weak Sail away Far away Sail away Far away Sail away Far away Sail away Far away Design of the mind of the human kind It's flaws aren't really that hard to find Tho it's just not important what I have to say Everyone running, makin' their way Cos what history remembers humans forget I don't really care until it's time to regret I want to make a change but I really can't I'm part of the problem I realize that Except this music I have nothing to give Sometimes this sounds are the reason that I live They were here for me in my hours of despair They were here for me when there was no one else there So I hope they bring just a little bit of light To some of your darkness, to some of your fights Like fireflies that glow in the night And light the way for the new day Sail away Far away Sail away Far away Sail away Far away Sail away Far away Sail away Far away Sail away Far away
