After Hours

Don't slip on the tiling Muted sound of splashes Got to filter my feelings, chlorinate my thoughts Shower room is empty, I am all alone The other side of the door Ain't no person, and the splashes gone But the eyes catch something familiar far to the right And I know this face and this face knows I Just the two of us Opposite sides of the pool And the glances thrown, but our eyes won't meet (Too embarrassing) And as I look at him The scenes run through my mind How I smash his head against them tiles And the blood runs down his arm Silent murder Witness none And this lonely lifeless body floating In a whirlpool filled with blood Yeah I could've killed her boyfriend So she would behave herself But I kept her boyfriend's life Just out of respect Just the two of us Opposite sides of the locker room And I still catch glimpses on me And I throw these glimpses too And he'll never know I thought of that This room we peacefully change in would be a crime scene And its white walls would turn red (And so I) leave the pool Closing hours Making it through the empty street In the lights of after hours Closer to the midnight Mentally in a haze The flight is promptly booked and early morning I'll be gone to the opposite side of this continent
