If you think that old book is right Who am I to stop you Know that I don't want to fight Mostly cuz I think I'd lose To a bunch of washed up priests Shouting nonsense wildly While you all behave like beasts I think that I will kindly leave I know everything you say Is meant to edify me But I will not be lead astray I hope you'll listen closely You're grief stricken and afraid I know your plight, I've been there Please open your heart today And let him wash away your cares Why would I want to be free Of the things that hurt me When they're the only things That ever make me think clearly How could you possibly think You know more than he does He's the one who made you from A speck of dust Well that's all well and good but I know That there is no one out there And if there was I wouldn't think His judgment would be entirely fair What do you mean when you say fair I don't see how you could possibly Come to any conclusions about the overall morality Of the universe you're inside I thought fair would be easy to grasp But it seems like there's no hope for either of us Let's agree to disagree And let all these questions and answers go quietly
