Growing Pains

Don't wanna feel like a grown up I miss the way things would show up Never had to make decisions I had 20/20 vision But now things are getting kinda blurry Grey lines and I'm always in a hurry Never had to say goodbye for more than just a couple nights Man, I'm starting to feel old now And I don't want to Time slowed down and I don't know Where it ran off to Every time you called, I came But now it feels better, better to walk away I felt it last year on the plane I guess some things never change Feel like I've lived 30 lifetimes Remaking movies in the nighttime Summer changes everything Went from candy bars to partying So I called my mom to come get me I drank memories, they drank whiskey I have never been the kind to change myself Just to be liked Man, I'm starting to let go now And I want to Saying "No" and making room for Things I want to Every time you called, I came But now it feels better, better to walk away I felt it last year on the plane I guess some things never change I'm on the phone, I'm in a crisis I'm stuck in Rome with all my vices And they're fun but they come at high prices I don't want that anymore I'll never settle for a pleaser But you can take a look cause I'm a teaser Fine on my own cause I don't need ya No more keeping score Bad habits die when you're a dreamer
