I remember my Dad saying with regret Every time we climbed back up the Burlington Bay Skyway Headed back to the Hammer from Muskokan waters Separated by Hog Town hyways and byways He'd say Son here we go again we're are back in the big city It'll be another year with 50 weeks of tears till we get back to Mother Nature's Mother Nature's committee 50 years later I was headed outta my birth-town Steel City in my rear view mirror I wasn't quite as strong of course not near as young Just the same I had no fear I had to fulfil a dream my Dad never did check outta this industrial wasteland 30 miles east was this beautiful woman reaching out with extended hands Organic thoughts and extended hands Through the smoke and the haze I left in a blaze QEW Niagara bound pedal to the metal Morrison packed stacked on one last track Headed straight into my life's last settle With Old Fort George and Brock and the boys and Laura of 1812 Where the river runs low to Ontario and oh that girl with open arms Organic thoughts and open arms Niagara Niagara where the mighty river roams Niagara Niagara vineyards of the somm Niagara Niagara farmer's fields of hope grown Niagara Niagara my home
