The Calm Urgency

These are days of a century nothing new to humanity I'm encouraged when I read of friends in reflection getting past the insanity It's scary and soothing disquieting and uplifting yes all this at the same time What was important in yesterday's reality May seem distant in the new timeline new timeline These are days of a millennia nothing new to humanity What I see is refreshing that gets me past the vanity and profanity There's a new path that takes you right on down the way to smell the flowers That rat race replaced at a snail's pace feeling life empowered Indeed time to step back and take a good look around Indeed time to step back breathe never to step down You can buy in to the hysteria or you can just be aware You can run from the moment or you can apply due diligence in self care You can abandon all you know to be good with outside influence Or you can breathe in the air and share in the transgressive confluence You can scream apocalyptic or you can sing in harmony You can worry about the future or find balance in the calm urgency Times as these are defining no doubt you are the solvent or you are the glue The greater the storm the brighter the rainbow awaiting with reverential hue
