I've been coming to the beach a lot lately It's really been the only place that I have been able to find peace Heartbreak is a hell of an experience I don't think that I have felt pain like that ever in my life The thing I've been feeling a lot of lately is regret But I have to remember not to punish myself for the things that I didn't know I just wanted to make you happy And to make you feel seen And to make you feel safe And to make you feel heard And to make you feel celebrated Because you were the deepest and the best love I have ever experienced And you deserved nothing less than that But now I see I need to pour all of those things, and all of that love into myself It's still hard for me some days though to really wrap my head around the fact that Our love was so amazing and then out of nowhere one day you just threw it away
