The Growing

Sometimes i'll be sitting on my own And I wonder where I would have been If nothing had gone wrong I was using I was drinking I was lying to my friends I was using I was drinking I was messing up again I gotta go I gotta go Sometimes i'd be sitting on my own And I'd wonder where my friends had gone Why they left me alone When I think of all the times That I blamed the wrong people 'Cause of my using I was drinking I was hiding from myself I gotta go I gotta go Now and then I remember all these times Through my dreams I re-imagine How I was In all those times But I moved forward from the problems And I took a chance to grow If there's one thing that i've learnt it's that we've got to learn to grow We gotta grow We gotta grow Now I feel Like a weight has lifted off I feel closer to my goal It's like my snakeskin slippin' off I'm a user and a drinker I was lying to my friends I was a user and a drinkeer I was messing up again But nothing Can take it backAnd nothing Will bring them all back All back I gotta grow I gotta grow
