Damned if I do, Damned if I don't Damned if I will, Damned if I won't Cook, clean, mind child, be pretty Stand up for myself, then I look petty Forgive your sins big and small My tiny habits you list them all Focus on the small points stealing joy Carrying emotions like the Horse of Troy Put you in my shoes and you can't walk Put you in my head and you can't talk Promised to be a partner at my side But when trials come, can you stand the tide? If a mess so small sends you running, What will happen when life starts gunning? When I try and I do, you don't see But should I slip up you point fingers at me I don't leave the house to report to work But my duties at home I do not shirk Drained and tired at the end of the day No damn appreciation in any way Complain bout the few things left undone Overlooking the many victories I've won Why try?
