At my window Standing while the landscape makes me blush As the wind blows Poetry in motion but never in a rush In an airplane Feeling just a little out of place If the sky rains The pilot will change course and take us straight to space There’s a longingbird in you Give it wings and let it fly Mine will meet yours in the blue Finally we’re eye to eye On your cell phone Blowing out a long-forgotten wish Oh, to be known Fighting for affection among more than plenty of fish Up the valley Find the moonlit river to your soul Us finale Happens when unhappy halves are sewn back whole There’s a longingbird in you Give it wings and let it fly Mine will meet yours in the blue Finally we’re eye to eye There’s a longingbird in you, so fly There’s a longingbird in you and I
