I Am Me

I can see now I am me now Stranded on a long dark road With one direction to go Sight was faint and dim But suddenly a ray of light Turned to sunlight and now I can see now I can see much clearer 'Cause in this life my sight was all wrong But when I changed my view My focus got stronger And I, I can see much clearer Shackled by hurt and pain Judged by guilt and shame 'Cause I never knew my name But then one day love came And I am no longer the same I am free now And I embrace my freedom 'Cause in this life I had to walk alone And when I started walking My walking got stronger I am free now Even though the weight of simple life Seems to bring you to a point of no end You just need to learn how to wait And be patient my friend 'Cause He who has begun a good work in you He shall perform it 'til the day it's done Just trust and believe that everything you need shall be I have peace now And I, I'm on ease clouds now 'Cause in this life peace left me alone I ceased confusion and peace came home I have peace now I, I can see now And I, I am free now I, I have peace now And I, I am me now I can see in Jesus I am free in Jesus I have peace in Jesus I'm all three in Him
