Quarantine Christmas

I hear no sleigh bells ringing No children singing No boughs of holly No candy cane and coffee Thought it was a given Tied up in a ribbon Santa and his reindeer But it seems like this year We'll be driving through the lights There'll be no one on a flight We'll have masks hung on a tree And elves in PPE And if there's no place to go Let it snow, let it snow As we gather in a row Under our 6 foot mistletoe I'll kiss my grandma through zoom She'll say I'm fat but what's new And we'll chat about the weather We'll be apart but still together When it's time to open gifts We'll sanitize cause mom insists Dad will say he misses us In this, Quarantine Christmas It won't be easy, It won't be easy It won't be, as merry, This Christmas But we'll try, Yeah we'll try Oh we'll try, this Yuletide To make it a special one With all of the lights Let's catch that empty flight To go see family Dressed in PPE If there's no place to go Let's call loved ones we know Cause they're who make it real In this crazy quarantine ordeal
