Yeah I’ve never been the type of guy to stress over a female Never let’em get too close I’m great as far as she can tell But in my heart I know I’m searching for something deeper Bucket down an empty well And I thought I found a keeper This one hurt and I can’t even lie I don’t wanna be sentimental But I can’t get her off my mind I-mean, maybe it’s just the wrong time Feel like I’m waiting for the right thing But standing in the wrong line She could never trust in me I know it’s hard to see The forest for the trees The forest for the trees But everything is alright If she give her heart to me I know that she could see Everything is alright The forest for the trees The forest for the trees Is she too good for me? You think ‘cuz Daddy’s a Pastor And Mama ain’t raise a bastard Spent every Sunday in church Maybe I’d follow the pattern of every broken man Waiting for the savior to come I want my Kingdom now And I ain’t leaving here till I’m done That’s how I felt about it Can’t believe that I was so dumb I wanted everything that I just seemed to be so far from I went and got it, then abused it Just to have me some fun And now my girl can’t even trust me All the things that I done...
