I'm just another drunken soldier Fighting the war until it's over I'd rather have peace but I know I won't see it anywhere Anywhere I go So lift up your glass and pour another round It might be the last before we end up underground And if there's anything at all left of us Before too long it'll all turn to dust I'm just another weary traveler passing through this way again My feet are tired but my brain is wired my boots wore out their tread The colonel says that the enemy is right around the bend Gripping my rifle tight as the road runs red The moment is upon me, or is it in my head But then I squeeze the trigger tight and pump em full of lead I'm just another drunken soldier
