People don't fully understand me Everyone claims that they do They can't see I'm not free If only they knew The world keeps on spinning While I feel like shit Why does this keep winning Fallen in a deep dark pit Just stop And stand tall Cause you've got To stay strong It's much harder than it looks When swimming through all of these hooks They always snag Life's such a drag Need to find myself new nooks But when I try to overcome My nails are bitten off my thumb Then I chew gum Feel so dumb My whole body feeling numb but It needs to get better Tried to swallow fears with a pill Thought it'd make me a go getter Instead was left feeling ill So signed up for therapy They didn't listen or fully understand me Worked on keeping my mind busy Found myself some brand new hobbies I still feel quite dizzy Everyday surviving mental tsunamis I'm snagged on this hook Gotta fight for me Overcome this worry When calamity strikes And your bridge burns down Swim as hard as you can Can't let you drown Take a deep breathe Chose life Or death Hooks always snag Life can be a drag Times will be rough And you'll go through hell Just try to stay tough You're doing well You will notice that Life is hard Nobody thinks its easy So don't live life on guard Get up and go live yours freely I'm snagged on this hook Gotta fight for me Overcome this worry
