Beyond the dark surrounding lies ahead a light (Feels safer here) Beyond the past once known I set upon my sight (Under the shadows) Crawling from the womb of the Earth, I rise above from the deep (don’t leave me here) Conceived in this virgin birth, I wake from my dying sleep (don’t go to the light) I open my eyes to see what lies ahead, What hides ahead, Just open my eyes, don’t fear the light, I must let go, I must let go! Open my eyes to see a burning light in the sky, So bright and blinding, the light consumes me alive Shivering as the night falls, I must turn back, Back to my safety, back to the dark Stumbling through forest, so weak and exposed, Helpless fetal body, gnaw the umbilical tether, Alone save the moon, I turn to her Turn to her, my Athena She silently whispers to me: “you must let go” As I walk upon the path, I see a reflection upon the water, A stranger staring back at me Turn back, you will surely die, Let go, you can end it all, Go back, you were safer there I can’t take it anymore! Give up, there is nothing left Run fast, you are gonna die I can’t, someone save me before I am torn apart I must let go before I fall deeper Losing all my mind, falling faster (I must hold on) A thousand burning eyes, watching as I fall deeper (I can’t let go!) Demons invading me, Surrounding me, Strangling me Oh, wake me up, Don’t wake me up I’m hopelessly trapped forever (WAKE UP!)
