Shadows

Chained to the ground, I try to move but I am still held and bound, All around I see dancing shadows that surround, And they laugh at me, taunting Deep below the Earth in the dark Born to bear the mark How long have I been here, watching as I slowly die I can’t survive, I must break free before I die Trapped below, chained to the ground, I try to move What are these chains that tie me down? The demon inside me, I call his name: I am Fear! I can’t break free Someone help me Wake me up from this living nightmare! Lost inside my mind Will I ever find a way out of here, Lest I find my fear, Set me free! I rise above, set free from my chains Now I see so clear; the demon’s name is fear
