She could charm the day sleepers right out of their beds Rid the moss from a mud stuck stone Even after she's gone back to where she came I no longer feel all alone She can undraw my curtains and paint the day bright She could mould a bridge home from the moon She colours me in - how I look and think Her art hangs on the walls in my room She can polish me up so I don't seem so scuffed She makes good the marks on my mind She won't have to speak so long before I'm recertain That a good day's not so hard to find She could spell out a life like I couldn't by myself And I write it out in clear prose and poems Even after she's gone back to where she came I no longer feel all alone
