Do you feel that morning sun There ain't nothing like a brand new day Roll me up a little sunshine, yea Then I'll be on my way No matter where I go I've got everything I need All the way from the wake and bake To the bar down by the beach Stuff that sensi deep down In the right side of my sock Then I'll skate, all the way To where the pavement stops Because i'd rather be surfin' Rippin' up the surface Of the great unknown Instead I spend my time working Filling pockets of an unknown person And to me thats really not worth it Oh no, I'm gonna do this on my own Locals only, when you need some tunes Locals only, when you need some food Locals only, for whatever you need That way the money comes back to you and me Because it's locals only here Have you seen the cost for all of us to live Well its more than all the time that we have spent Working 9-5 just to pay the rent When all we need is one another in the end Don't just get up and go work for them Until the day that you can't get up again Oh no, You can do this on your own I'm sure that we all would agree, that this life was never free So don't be another cog, inside the industry machine, tell em back to the boneyard Where precious time is traded For unstable minimum wages Don't sleep on that band that's playing Cause someday they really might make it Don't forget to tip your bartenders Or to support your friends ventures Best believe you all have potential Probably more than you'd like to mention And so, I hope you know you're not alone Locals only, when you need some food Locals only, when you need some tunes Locals only, for whatever you need That way the money comes back to you and me, yea This ones for the buskers All the market space lovers Every mom and pop shop That keeps this little town running So tell em' back, to the boneyard punk, it's locals only here I won't back you fuckin' corporate bums, it's locals only here
