Monkey

I'm sitting on this mountainside All dressed up in city lights That glow And I'm staring out the window And I've been seeing lots of things Like a long day with all my dreams On hold But I might have time tomorrow If I get this monkey off my back Then maybe I could build something to last But I can't find a home Or maybe I'm better off alone And I don't care what you're taking me for no no no I've been staying up too late And wasting my whole day With the same song on replay It's sick and such a shame Well I don't wanna say That I'm the one to blame But now I'm switching lanes And headed separate ways From this last phase What if I waited too long?
