Scattered ash on a basement floor/ Wasn’t feeling good about the work anymore In my own way the spirit had broke I was laughed out of jokes I was heading for a watershed But I didn’t know what it meant I followed blind & called it belief The errand making fool out of me Oh can you believe! Crossed a river/wound up in the sea No, I couldn’t tell The sun coming down Like gold thrown in a wishing well So I turned my tail for the north wood Headfirst into the watershed Still didn’t know what it meant I follow blind & call it belief The errand makes a fool out of me
