You can live your whole life in the city And think you know everything to do Be a terrible terrible pity If you missed the fun on Gaetz Avenue You see the downtown is a crazy place When it gets to be half past dark I'm not talking about the rat race Or what happens later on in the park It's about when a big old bet gets lost And repaid on the corner of Gaetz and Ross She could have done it near the Cenotaph Been hidden mostly out of view But I guess she'd never got the laughs Of putting on a show for me and you It's not like we were there by ourselves After all it was New Year's Eve People all out enjoying themselves Though it was minus twenty degrees It's about when a big old bet gets lost And repaid on the corner of Gaetz and Ross She was wearing a long pure-white mink It came all the way down to her feet And I swear that she turned and gave me a wink As she walked to the middle of the street Cars hit the brakes as they tried to stop What the hell was she trying to do? Right about then mouths started to drop By now she was completely nude My wife hit me hard on the back So I had to tell a white lie Before she gave me another good smack I said "She's got the most amazing…bright blue eyes!" People gasped and cried "You'll freeze to death!"
