Insomnia

I'm living in a haze Can't seem to get out of my own way And in a strange display of devolution I feel like an Animal There goes another day flushed down And circling the drain And all I want is to fall asleep tonight Insomnia is like a uniform for a job I never wanted And I can't get to sleep at all Because the room I'm in is haunted By the ghosts of past and present Who have been let out of their cages And the ghosts from the future have been Around haunting me for ages Dulled colors on display My wardrobe provided blacks and grays But the hems are Torn the cuffs are worn And the stitching has all been frayed more than yesterday So I will go to bed and wait To Count out the minutes that I won't sleep tonight Insomnia is like a uniform for a job I never wanted And I can't get To sleep at all Because the room I'm in is haunted By the ghosts of past and present Who've been let out of their Cages And the ghosts from the future have been around haunting me for ages
