When it goes away don't act like you didn't know the things that we rely on That you never understood they were Never really ours, just out on loan When it goes away don't act like you've never seen the victims of our spoils lay In poverty and toil while we revel in the blue glow of our screens When it all ends will we clean up this mess Or do It all again or will we rest on our laurels with our greed And relaxed morals while we hang out on the sidelines Waiting for a handout We don't deserve it Its more than we imagined And how we take it all for granted now We Don't deserve any of it Anyone whose anyone should know Whittling away the hours of our lives in bored Complacency Praying to a god we swear up and down We don't believe in just to make it so we never have to Change When it all ends will we clean up this mess and do it all again?
