I can see right through The eyes of the people I walk by I watch their conscience flinch As they make their life a lie But if I pause to think Look past the imperfection I find looking back at me My very own reflection Thinking makes me crazy Cause I don't know what to do And I'm trapped in a maze that I thought I knew Back where I began and I haven't got a clue Walking makes me crazy cause I'm going nowhere new Sick of the questions and I'm tired of the truth And I find myself in a day when The sun is out On an autumn afternoon And the bitter breeze dances in and out Of what's imagined and what's true Fighting makes me crazy Cause I know I'll never win And I'm waiting and I'm watching for the end to begin I know it's coming soon but I don't know when Waiting makes me crazy as I fade from within Life just has a way of getting under your skin And yet again I'm in a day when The sun is going down And it leaves a fiery glow And the darkness settles over me Like a blanket on my soul So many things to love And so many lives to choose But I finally found the right way to love When I had nothing left to lose So I'll look up at the sky As the breeze blows over me It warns me of the coming gloom But my mind is still at ease So I might be waiting awhile Through this long and dark winter night But my thoughts go toward a different place Where the sun will be in sight
