A Beer Instead

All my friends says that I'm crazy But I don't feel the same My mother says that I'm lazy And my father says Hi miss shame I don't understand this old fashion ways I just keep on running Waiting for a better days I went to the supermarket With feeling to buy a beer When I went to the register I faced my greatest fear Oh I ain't got no coins And I started to feel a little strange It looked like everyone Was trying to chain my brain So I left the beer behind With a tear on my face I don't know what to do But I surely wanna feel that taste Oh I ain't got no luck I really need to fill my veins So I guess I just go to the streets And try to make some change My sound was not so good And my hat was feeling cold My legs were getting weak And my thoughts were getting bold By the time that I was done I saw a man passing by I sense the smell of weed And he ask me if wanted to buy I would love to But four twenty it's all I have He said he would give me a gram If I made a joint to share So we started to smoke And feelings were pulling through By the time that silence was gone My weed was gone too I thought it wasn't so bad To end the day like that But fast I realize That I had no money in my hat I started to feel nervous With sweat all over my head Then was when I understood I should have saved for a beer instead
