I yelled at you on Sunday cuz I saw you were drinking at that party Said you never listen You told me that I could kick it So I went home I wanted to make up with you I called you on a Monday afternoon You told me you were busy You just didn't want to see me I know That's just one example One of many To prove I was never in the wrong And once we get older And our minds more mature We might be able to talk and I'll move on But for now I think I'm better with you For some odd reason I do And I wrote it down to talk to you about it But I never read it through Your car broke down last Tuesday You were driving on the freeway You were going way past 90 The speed limit signs were blurry You were crying My favorite song was playing On the radio this Wednesday You got mad at me for singing And made me feel real shitty I said sorry Oh I don't know why I put up with you There's something that's making me Make the same mistakes again and again I know that I'll be better off without you I'd live my life but I'd still think about you How does something like this even happen What the hell were we even thinking
