The grass is growing greener by the day I float upon the hill and hear you say If only time could go by slower I just need to find some closure The uncertainty begins to weigh me down I should've used my time in a different way Instead of sitting on the phone and letting it waste away If I didn't grow up it'd be perfect I'd make every moment worth it Now reality is on its way, it's settling in And everybody says "I wish I could have it all back" But when I was a kid I never understood the pain Of losing something you never knew you had 'Cus when we're younger, we develop a hunger for adulthood Adulthood But I never understood the stress, the pain The time it takes to refrain from your innocence But now that I'm older I can feel all those things The past, although I know it is something that I can't fix I wish I was perfect I wish I was perfect Everybody says "I wish I could have it all back" But now that I'm older I finally understand that pain Of losing something I never knew I had 'Cus when I was younger, I developed a hunger for adulthood 'Cus when I was younger, I developed a hunger for adulthood I developed a hunger for something I'm living now
