I'm not old enough nor strong enough to go it alone Now I dwell in a place so far from home It's carving away at my skin and bones A pattern so horrible crushing my soul Now it's time to go home But it's too late, it's gone it, has been sold Now I sit here and think that I need a change But a separation didn't change anything So I sit here alone So far from home Surrounded by people who die in their sleep On their springboard to heaven it's so bleak Now I sit in a room so baren With blue walls and white sheets But I know someday I'll have to leave Now it's time to go home But it's too late, it's gone it, has been sold Now I sit here and think that I need a change But a separation didn't change anything So I sit here alone So far from home I've made a plan to escape this facade But today it seems so hard I just woke up from a year long nap I still can't believe it ended like that In that span I've lost a few things And the things I've gained are strange It's sad how things that last Can just end like that Sometimes I pass it driving by A new shade of blue clashes Through rose tinted eyes I remember standing outside Saying things like I love you and goodnight I wish things stayed the same But if it's true it has to change My bare feet were so cold We were just 17 years old But that's all gone It has been sold Thinking back to then makes me smile Now I'm all alone But I'm so far from home If I could go back just one more time I'd do it better Do it right this time But it's too late you say you're happier alone I'd say I understand but really I don't But if you're happy I'll leave you alone I don't care about the house I just want to go home
