seven weeks

Seven weeks ago I didn't know How much my life would change I just left somewhere familiar And landed somewhere strange Seven weeks ago I didn't know What would happen on this trip But phone issues and a breakup Certainly weren't on my list In seven weeks I've learned that life Keeps going when I'm gone And I've learned to share the burdens That I've held for way too long There's more for me to learn But I praise God for how I've seen His faithfulness through these last seven weeks Seven weeks ago I didn't know A single soul in France Now I thank God for David's family Every time I get the chance And seven weeks ago I didn't know Anyone from Iowa State But now I'm missing four of them And the memories we made In seven weeks I've seen the joy of Loving who I'm with And I've seen that joy bring others in To place their faith in Him There's so much to rejoice in And I praise God for how I've seen His faithfulness through these last seven weeks Seven weeks ago I didn't know where God would have me now Though my plans have been upended I wouldn't change how things turned out Because truth be told I know my home Isn't anywhere on earth This life is just a missions trip Until Jesus returns Oh this life is just a missions trip Until Jesus returns In seven weeks I've seen the gospel Shine into the dark And light up both a city And my own unfaithful heart The memories will fade but God Remind me how I've seen Your faithfulness to our little team And Your faithfulness to those still overseas And Your faithfulness despite my wandering And Your faithfulness through these past seven weeks
