What is this place why am I here I left no trace I’m lost I fear The lands I sowed are gone away And all I owed I can’t repay This lack of rain it took my wife It brought me pain just like a knife I own nothing I am astray So hopefully there’s somewhere better to stay The wind it blows puts sand in my eyes I just wanna go to the place in the sky I’m stuck right now in this foreign place I’ve got no plow I have no face I walk to town with no degree They all just frown or laugh at me I ask myself what is there to do When every day I wish for my life to be through Take me back home to the place that I belong Coz I don’t have anyone to trust There’s no job for me and as far as I can see The ground is just covered in dust
