Put It Back the Other Way

Often find myself dreaming of the day Where I stop myself from wasting life away Until then, I'm walking down this empty street Wishing everything would just turn out for me As of now, things are different All I do is puff my dreams into the air Watching as they grow distant All I ask is for someone else to care Pictures of the past fade into the sun Now I'm left thinking that I'm the only one Without ambition, no sense of pride and joy So my time is spent frustrated and annoyed What's the plan, what's the action? When do I get off my teenage lazy ass? I'm in charge of what happens But I'd rather just leave it to mom and dad I'm sorry if my future's in your mind But it's no one else's business how I waste my time I told you time and time again One of these days, I'll find my end What I'd do to reverse it What I'd do to put it back the other way Guess it's just another version Of how things pan out in my life every day
