Numb is the feeling I've grown to chase Most days planned and others in a haste The sting of the whiskey kills the pain of your absence When there's nothing more to do words speak louder than actions Numb is the expression I like to use To describe how I felt when all I stood to lose Finally left me cuz she had all that she could take Something that brutal makes a smile too damn hard to fake Numb is the worst way that a man can be Life purpose is near impossible to see Anger is spiteful and lonely is ruthless But both are plentiful in this modern world that's truth-less Whoah, whoah Numb is the fear consuming my soul Taking my will to ever grow grey and old Numb is the reason that I am how I am And I've yet to see one that really gives a damn
