Afraid of the Dark

Open your eyes Can't you see? It's already too late for you to worry about falling asleep I can feel the blood dripping from my fingernails and I can't breathe Maybe it's you Maybe it's you and not me Maybe all of those stories they told me were just make believe Maybe everyone who told me I was worth it just couldn't see me Still I wait For what I can't see Hoping everything will be better in the morning, in spite of me What if nothing ever changes, and what if I can't go to sleep?
