Ridin' In Heaven

I can still feel the reins in my hand, Out there with Grandpa on that land. Momma's laugh, soft and low, Riding through fields where the wildflowers grow. I'm waiting on the day, when the time is right, To saddle up and ride in heaven's light. With Momma and Grandpa by my side, In that endless field where love don't hide. Every choice I made, every road I've tried, I think of them, right by my side. Wonder if they're watching down on me, Did I make 'em proud, like I hoped to be? I'm waiting on the day, when I can say, "I tried my best each and every way." Holdin' 'em close, under heaven's skies, With tears of joy in my old eyes. Oh, I'll tell 'em 'bout the life I lived, The love I found, the grace they give. When that gate swings wide, I'll step right in, To ride again with my oldest friends.
