All Is Well

The sun comes up But I don't feel the warmth Feel static in place of my limbs While I struggle to talk And as words rise up And crumble into dust Sinking lower, why bother? Look up, yet another Destruction of trust Once more down under covers Pulled him up by the neck, and he's saying "I'm not ready for this" Count the scars on the bricks keeping track of the times That he fights the impulse to resist Drill oil from out of my stomach to burn The shadows lined up by the walls wait their turn And in turn, I will return When all is well I'm toothless, found wanting Buy lockets of time Tribute for moments, yet curse the sunrise And in turn, I'll wait my turn When all is well Like the tide There is a change And the ache that I felt then Will never be the same Fall through universe And live brighter days Rewrite wrongs from his own hands Contort all his old plans Still life in him yet, here's the chance He's been granted Lift me up, stealing breath and I'm thinking I'm not worthy for this Each new day takes the place of one dredged from his past And the things that he never will miss When there's you in this world, means that there's still me.
