Do you remember when we were young? And the things we did then that now are done? We did what we wanted with no consequence And it didn't seem to make any sense Cause we would lick off the icing Eat bubblegum ice cream Do what we could just to have something sweet We'd go fishing and biking and swim in the lightning Go on adventures in only bare feet Late nights in summer with family and friends Singing songs by the campfire and playing pretend And the moon would come out just to tell us goodnight Then we'd wake up tomorrow and do it again Cause we could climb up a mountain Or fly in the sky We could swim in the ocean It's all in our mind It's the joys of our childhood It's the time of our life We'll go to my house or your house His house or her house No it doesn't matter we always have fun It could be chilly and snowing The rain could be flowing But it doesn't matter our joy is the sun Now that we're older, stronger and bolder It seems like that fun might've come to an end But I'm telling you now that it's only beginning So open your eyes and look out ahead Cause we could climb up a mountain Or fly in the sky We could swim in the ocean It's all in our mind We could live for today with no fear of tomorrow Be who we are and not care what they think Let our voices be heard above all the noise With laughter and smiles always set on our lips And we could climb up a mountain Or fly in the sky We could swim in the ocean It's all in our mind It's the joys of our childhood It's the time of our life We'll go to my house or your house Sit on the porch steps Listen to music and dance in the rain Just cause we're older, stronger and bolder It doesn't mean that we can't dance the same
